So we took Ruger to Petco and found this wonderful toy!  One that he will keep at home.  :-)  This is like buying noisy toys for you're nieces and nephews!

Welcome to the Cone Zone

So it's not just me in our house that gets stuck in a cone.  I thought I'd show my pathetic kitteh sister.

While I am the cone master, she is not!  She hates this.  She has been in it since right after mom and dad got back from vacation.  She had to have a biopsy on one of her toes.  Luckily it turned out to be an allergy related granuloma so we are just treating with steroids.  They think maybe she will be able to take  it off the end of the week.   

But around here if it's not one thing it's another!

PeeS.  Pack Update.  Ruger and I are doing really well.  Ruger and Jada pretty much ignore each other.  Ruger and Lucky are still working on tolerating each other.  Yesterday me and mom and Ruger and FAJ all hung out in the front yard while mom and FAJ washed the new kennel they got.   Thanks to everyone for your ideas and input!

Part Time Pack Members???

Ruger will be part of our pack part time.  We are looking for ways you have introduced new dogs.  Also how long did it take for your dogs to realize the new dog was part of the pack, at least part time.

And Introducing....

Ruger, the dog formerly known as Dog To Be Named Later.  :-)

So he came home yesterday and took his first trip to Petco...Where the Pets Go. 

Then he waited super patiently while him mom got his food out of the garage for dinner. 

Then he frog dog passed out while his mom finished making dinner. 

Then he de-stuffed his first stuffie! 

Yep the squeaker is the best part!  (See the blue in the corner of his mouth)

At the end of the night he had a good ole game of wrassle with his mom. 

We just got back from going for a run, me and mom, Ruger and FAJ.  We did good.  We introduced him to Jada on a walk and they seemed to do pretty good.  She's pretty timid.  Then they let us out in the backyard one at a time with him.  He and I did fine.  He and Jada had a couple of discussions but nothing big.  We will probably all go for a walk this afternoon to do more socializing.  (I think more for mom than us, introducing new dogs always makes her nervous.)

I'm BAAAACCCKKK!!!

Hola senors and senoritas!

Hope everyone was great while we were gone.  Mom says once she digs out from under work we'll head around to say hi to everyone!

So while mom and dad were gone Favoritest Aunt Jaime was the bestest sitter.   She took us for walks loved on us and most importantly took me to see Aunt Barb to get the stitches out of my ear!

Yep.  I am a stitch and cone free puppy!   I give you examples below!

PeeS.  FAJ is off to Wyoming this afternoon to pick up Dog to Be Named Later.  We think she has settled on a name but we will confirm this evening and update you all tomorrow along with more pictures!

Don't Forget Me While I'm Gone

So Mom and Dad are deserting us going on vacation for 8 whole days!   OMD!  Rest assured that we are being left in the capable hands of Favoritest Aunt Jamie.  However FAJ doesn't blog.  

Hopefully once I come back I will be a cone and stitch free puppy living a life of leisure!

But so you won't forget I'm posting some pictures of me so you will remember!

The Good, The Bad and The WAY Ugly!

So the first good thing....I don't have a bandage on my head.  WOOO HOOO!   The bad thing, I'm still in my cone.  Then there is the WAY ugly thing.  Look what mom did to me!!!!!

Now It REALLY REALLY looks like a lampshade! 

Now she says she did this for my benefit.  I don't really believe her.  They were laughing at me at the vet when they saw me in it :-(.  

Note from Mom: The cone needs to be padded in case he does shake his head.  Which thankfully he is doing less often. 

Here's my ear.  It's looking a lot better than both Mom and Aunt Barb thought it would! 

When I had all my tail surgeries I healed up fast on the last one with no bandage so we are hoping that what will happen here.  The stitches on the outside are really close to be able to come out, it's the ones on the inside that are taking a bit longer.  

We're sorry we haven't been around much lately.  That has been some of the other good though.  

See mom did her triathlon yesterday.  The Tri-for-the-Cure, it's the biggest sprint tri in the country.    Mom finished 121 out of 301 in her age group.  Way to go Mom!

So after mom's race Dad took Lucky and went and met mom and Favoritest Aunt Jaime to drive to Wyoming!  What you ask would posses them to do that?   

Well that would be our new cousin!  

This would be Dog To Be Named later.  Aunt Jamie doesn't like his name so we have to figure out what we are going to call him.

They took Lucky since he's the grumpy old man to make sure they would get along.  Seeing how much Favoritest Aunt Jamie is here we expect Dog To Be Named Later to be here a lot too.  Like we'll probably be his daily doggy day care.     After a little bit of time and lots of treats Lucky and Dog seemed to be ok together.  

FAJ is going to pick him up on the 13th after Mom and Dad get back from deserting us going on vacation for a week.  

So that's all our news and why we haven't been around.
