T,T,T, Tuesday....
Not much to report from Nubbin' land today. It was a pretty quiet day, then we got a special treat. Mom and Dad took us all for another walk. 2 whole days in a row can you believe it. Mom and Dad are really liking this spring weather. So we did our walk and then I went back to my normal spot ~
Back on my couch being a happy Nubbin'.
Hope everyone has a most wondrous day!

Introductions....
I wanted to introduce you all to my sister and adopted brother.
This is me and my most lovely sister Jada. She is my real live sister. We went into rescue in some place called Alabama. Mom heard it was because our family was getting divorced and we were too big for an apartment. :-( See how nicely we curl-up, how could we be too big? After Alabama we went to stay with the lovely Ms. Celia in Texas where Mom and Dad found us. Mom decided that she wanted us to stay together so she took us both. Jada and I love to be together and play together. One of our favorite games is called Eat Your Sister. Jada gets on the couch and runs back and forth and tries to bite me and I run back and forth on the floor and try to bite her. We usually play after we finish eating and have all kinds of new energy. Maybe Mom will tape it so you all can watch us play! :-)
Now this my adopted brother Lucky, or Lurpy as Mom and Dad tend to call him. He's 12 or 13 years old we aren't really sure but he act young. Mom and Dad met him when they picked us up in Texas. Mom couldn't stop thinking about, sounds like the Mayzie's mom's bee. She thought and she thought and she looked at this picture online.
Finally she decided that if she thought about him that long she should get him, so she told Ms. Celia. Ms. Celia was sooo happy. See Lucky had lived with her for 2 whole years as a rescue dog and now he was getting a forever home. After much coordination and 3 different drivers Mom finally picked him and brought him home. We weren't so sure about him at first but for the most part now we all get along pretty good! He's even learned that kitteh brothers and sisters are not snacks! He seems to have gotten comfortable here, don't you think?
He even tried to curl up with Jada but Mom says he's just not bendy.
Well guess I should head for my afternoon nap so I'm all ready to play when Mom and Dad are done working!

How I became Mr. Nubbin'
So this seems like a good time to fill you all in on how I became Mr. Nubbin'. It started almost 2 years ago. I had bump on my tail and mom and dad thought it would be better to take it off before it got any bigger. So we went to see Dr. Barb and she did a wonderful job taking it off, but seeing how it's a tail you know there is not a lot of skin to work with. We went back every couple days to get a new bandage. After about 3 weeks though it still wasn't healing right so mom and Dr. Barb decided it would probably just be better to doc my tail. So we did that and things were going good. Except for the whole part where I had to walk around in a lamp shade for ever and ever.
Then I got a really really weird infection and it stopped healing. Dr. Barb had us go see the very wonderful Dr. Michelle and she looked and said yep we can fix you right up. So Dr. Michelle took off the rest of my tail and gave me my most wonderful Nubbin'!
My mom claims I have the most expressive Nubbin' and I don't knock stuff off all the tables any more with my tail. :-)

Today started out in my favoritest way, spooned up in bed with my mom and dad. I usually "sneak" up about 5 am when they won't notice. After that I got my next favoritest thing...BREAKFAST!! Of course after that my people had to leave me all alone go run errands. So I did what I normally do and curled up in the chair. My people are back now but ignoring me working.
So perhaps now I can tell you more of my story while they are busy. My mom had always had golden retrievers but when she met dad he started talking about these Ridgeback dogs. He had lived in South Africa and seen lots of them. They started looking at rescue sites, but it's hard to find Ridgebacks that will live with kitteh brothers and sisters since they pretty much look like rabbits. Sister and I had been raised with kittehs since we were but wee pups so we were ok. Once mama saw the we were brother and sister and how strikingly handsome I was and how pretty my sister was she couldn't say no. She also couldn't bear the thought of us being separated. Have we mentioned mom has a great big heart when it comes to fur kids!? So she applied to adopt us both. Some nice ladies in CO came to look and make sure that it would be a good place for us to live and boy they were right!
So on a Thursday mom and dad and Roo, my sister that went to puppy heaven, all loaded in the car and started driving and driving and driving. On Saturday the showed up at Miss Celia's house to pick us up and make sure we would be ok with Roo. When I came strutting out of the house my mom about fainted and said something about having adopted a horse. I'm not sure what a horse is but the thought of it made mom's eyes about pop out. My sister, her name is Jada BTW, came out and we were running around and playing. Dad went to go get Roo out of the car to see if we would get along, but I didn't want to wait that long and just hopped up right up in the front seat of the car with Roo and we seemed to get on just fine. :-) It took Roo and Jada a bit longer to decided we could all be brother and sisters.
While mom and dad were there they met some of the other rescue dogs. One of them was my adopted brother Lucky, I'll think we'll save that story for a bit later too.
So after that we all piled in the car and started driving and driving and driving. We got to CO on Sunday night and have been super happy here ever since.
See don't I look spoiled and happy! Wags to everyone it's time for my afternoon nap!

And the Journey Begins....
Hi there....so I have been reading Miss Mayzie's bloggie and decided maybe I could take a shot at it. Here's a bit about me and my family. I live with my mom and dad, my real live sister, and my adopted brother. Mom and Dad adopted my sister and me in 2007. They drove all the way from CO to TX to get us, they must have really wanted us.
This was us the day we came home, you'll notice I still have a tail here, we'll tell that story later.
I also live with 3 kitteh brothers and a kitteh sister.
All us puppies spend most of our day sleeping on the couch....it's a rough life we have here.
Today was a big day...we got to go to day care. We love it there and we come home all worn out.
I think with being worn out from day care I'll call this one a wrap. I'll write more tomorrow.
