Mayzie Gal and the Calendar Boy!

So I started making the rounds this morning and saw that Miss Mayzie had shared all about my bloggie.  I was so excited.  I know Miss Mayzie is so very popular so I have all this pressure to put out a good post today.  :-)  Ok, not really, but I wanted to share something special. 

So you all have heard that all us pups here were rescued from Rhodesian Ridgeback Rescue.  Well they do a calendar every year as a fundraiser.  Since I am so photogenic mom decided to submit my picture. 

And look there is me on July 21st.  My Gotcha day!   Mom was sooo very excited that I got picked.

Happy Easter and More Introductions!

Since Easter is all about bunnies and kittehs are almost like bunnies I thought introducing you all to my kitteh brothers and sister was in order.

I have 3 brothers and 1 sister.   You'll have to excuse the pictures, they are just not as photogenic as I am.  :-)

So I have 1 sister her name is Sabrina, but pretty much everyone calls her Owl since in the middle of the night with her yellow eyes that what she seems like.

Next is mom's other cat and kitteh brother number 1.  His name is Petey, but he gets called either Squeaky (great big cat....little bitty voice) or Speedbump (he lays on the stairs and absolutely will not move).

Next are dad's kittehs, Tanner and Chaplin.  Tanner from his color, Chaplin from his Charlie Chaplin mustache.   They came to live with us last year and we decided they were ok.

I almost became a big brother.....

So this morning mom and dad left us all alone went to run errands and came across this little guy running around naked.

Since it was by a busy street of course they stopped to see if they could catch him.  Well he was very furiendly so dad scooped him and put him in the car.  They took him to the nice Dr. Barb lady to see if maybe he had a microchip!  Well guess what he did!  Yeah. Then mom called  and found out his name was Rocky and the people asked if we were in Texas.  Ooops!   Colorado is a long way from Texas we remember.  So they left messages at some phone numbers they had and bit later mom got a call from his grandmother.  She said she would call his mom and have her call my mom.

She called back and said she was working til 2 but would see what she could do, turns out he can jump a 6' fence, mad skill this one has.  So mom and dad brought him back and let him run around in our yard for a bit while dad watched him.  All the time we ran back forth asking who are you what are you doing in our yard. Since he can jump mom thought the basement kennel was a safer place so she locked us up and took him down there.

His daddy ended up calling a bit later and came and picked him up.  Turns out somewhere along the line he had lost his clothes which is why he was naked.   And he had run a long way too, so if he had not been chipped and mom and dad had just put up signs his mom and dad may not have seen them.

It was good that they had his grandmas number or we might not have found his parents since his information on his chip record was still their TX information.

So if you have your pets chipped make sure the information is all up to date!  Make sure you little furiends can find their way back home.

BTW Favoritest Aunt Jaime is a bit mad at mom and dad for giving him back!  She thought he was pawfully darn cute and would have loved him and loved him!

Hello Weekend...

This has been such a big first bloggin' week.  I've meet tons of new furiends and I'm actively pawticipating in GABE.  

So Tuesday night dad was making a milkshake and he ended up sharing with all of us. He is just the best dad EVER!   Then Wednesday was daycare day.  We got to go romp and play and have a great time.

Yesterday was the start of GABE.  We tried to get around to everyone but things just got busy so we will have to work on that some today and tomorrow.   Mom took the day off work today so maybe she will take us for a walk, we'll see if mother nature cooperates.

I thought I had a bunch to say....but I think I just want a nap!

GABE .....

So I'm very new to this blogging thing and decided what better way to make new friends that to, what did Miss Mayzie say....'actively pawticipate'.   Then I thought what to give away.  And I thought....and I thought.  And I searched and I searched and I found the coolest thing!

You can make water bottles and put pictures on them.  Who would have thought!  Mom made one with my handsome mug so you could see what it would be like.

It's a great metal one (1 L) and you can get it with whatever you want written on it and your very own picture.

So here's my plan.   Comment on this post between now and 4/18.   Then I'll get mom and dad or favoritest Aunt Jaime (we'll tell you more about her later) to pull out a name.  Then we will send you a note so you can send us the picture you want and what you want it to say.    So you get your very own custom prize!  How cool is that.  I'm pretty sure mom is going to get the one you see above so that she can show me off more.
