Why We Haven't Been Around to Visit

So you may have noticed we have not been around much the past few days.    Well I think we have told you before that mom is daft, loco, off her rocker, crazy driven.   On Saturday Mom and Favoritest Aunt Jaime decided to run from Colorado to New Mexico a Half Marathon.  They did the Slacker Half-Marathon.   It's the highest downhill half marathon in the country.  (Told you she was crazy! )

As you can see it was a Beawootiful day!

They rocked, they beat their time from last year by a couple minutes and mom only got a little sick at the end.   :-(  

So mom finally seem to be a bit recovered so we will be heading around to catch up with all our furends!

A Special Visitor!

So there has actually been more happening around here than all my ear drama.  So I think you guys saw last week how Flat Brutus came to see Miss Mayzie.   Well you see Miss Mayzie actually lives really close to us so we talked her into letting Flat Brutus come for a sleep over!

Seems the only one he slept with however was our kitteh sister.  Maybe it was her being the same color and all.   :-(

Well when Flat Brutus was with Miss Mayzie boy they sure did LOTS of stuff.  So mom thought maybe we could show him how to relax!

First mom took him for a ride in the sun in her convertible.

Then get this....for a massage!

Last but not least Happy Hour at Sonic for Orange Cream Slushes.

We sure hopes that Flat Brutus had a good time with us!

Pouty Wordless Wednesday!

My Ear

So you saw how my brother and I had a bit of a disagreement.  Really I think I just scared him (he's not seeing so well anymore).  So I ended up needing surgery to sort of put my ear back together.

I will have a chunk missing at the bottom and some of the fur once I'm all healed up.   Oh well, I wasn't planning on entering any beauty pageants.    This will just give me even more character.   Mom is talking about buying me an eye patch, a Harley Davidson leather vest and a big spiked collar.  :-)  Maybe I will let her for Halloween.

Any way I promised some pictures.  I would be most happy if you would refrain from laughing at me though.

However not even this can keep me from my intense love of NOMS! 

Please Dad, Can I have some pretty please????

Yep!!!!

Hopefully I will be free of all this in about 10 days!

Happy Father's Day

I have the bestest dad in the whole wide world.   These are some of my favorite Dad pictures!

PeeS.  My ear is doing a bit better, I don't like the bandage or the cone of terror, but it's temporary.  Mom said we can tell you more about it tomorrow!

Poor Nubbin'

We would happily take some puppy prayers.  Boomer and Lucky were out walking and had a bit of a tiff.  Boomer ended up with a pretty nasty gash in his ear.  He's having surgery to sew the bottom part of the ear back together.  The rest of the ear will have to just heal with lots of bandage changes over the next couple of weeks. 


Vet called and he is out of surgery and all bandaged and we can go spring him in an hour.  I'm sure there will be pictures to follow tomorrow with him in the cone of terror.

So from the comments that had posted by the time mom had to submit (since she was running VERY VERY late).  The choice was photo #2!

Thanks to everyone who gave their opinion!  We'll let you know this fall if we made it!

We Need Your Help....

So mom posted a while back about how I got to be in the Rhodesian Ridgeback Rescue Calendar last year. Well mom just realized she has to have this years picture in by TODAY!   Oops.  She decided this year she wants to include all of us.   (I'm not really sure why)

So last night she got Favoritest Aunt Jamie to give us treats so we'd all be in one place and she started snapping away with the evil nasty flashy beast.

Now we need your help to figure out which picture to send in.  Please tell us which number you like best!  And if you have an idea for a caption we'll take that too!

So we said a while ago that mom got a new flashy beast.  Well she keeps trying to torment us with it.
I am having none of that and every time she points it at me I either yell at her or take off.

Jada however doesn't seem to care as much so mom got some pretty good pictures of her.  Now normally I know this is my blog but seeing how Jada diverted mom's attention with the flashy beast I decided to share!

PeeS.  You might have noticed we changed our background.  We liked it because it looked like the sun was out.  Something we have not seen much of here lately!

So the other night dad was feeding us dinner and of course mom thought take pictures and video! Cuz she's crazy loves us.

Then dad puts down the bowls (notice the length of the video) and we love our dinner.

Oh No Mom Got a New Flashy Beast!!

Well it's probably going to be a long few days for us.  Mom got herself a new flashy beast.  It has all kinds of bells, and whistles and lens.   She is now following us everywhere snapping shots.  :-(

We'll start with me since it is my blog and all.

OMD!!!!

So dad took us kids to daycare yesterday morning.  Now mom's truck was parked on the street right now not in the driveway.  He took Lucky out and got him loaded and then mom let Jada and me out. 

In addition to being in the street the car was facing the wrong way. Apparently mom got lost coming home or something.

Well Jada went where the back of the car is supposed to be and hopped "in".  Seeing how the car was facing the wrong way that put her on the hood!   I tried to follow her but I didn't quite make it up.   Luckily the car was all dewed up so we didn't scratch the paint! 

Sadly mom was getting to go for her run and didn't have her flashy beast.  But I'm sure you can all imagine my pretty Jada sister as the hood ornament on an Xterra. 

Hope you all got the same laugh mom and dad did!
